Beth Oberlander, LCSW, Chief Clinical Officer
Beth Oberlander is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a rich background in education and mental health. Originally from Gainesville, Beth moved to St. Louis to attend Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology in 1995. Her early career experiences, including teaching kindergarten and volunteering at a suicide hotline, inspired her to pursue social work. Beth obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University in 1998, completing her clinical internship at the Women’s Center of Jacksonville. She proudly continues her family tradition of social work, following in the footsteps of four social workers before her.
Beth began her journey with CGC in 1998 as a school-based therapist. Over the next fifteen years, she served as a Therapist and Licensed Clinical Supervisor, working with adolescents in the PRIDE program for severely emotionally disturbed students across multiple middle and high schools in Duval County. In 2013, Beth was promoted to Quality Assurance Director, where she took on a broad range of responsibilities. These included overseeing CGC’s Quality Improvement program, serving as Corporate Compliance Officer, hosting external audits and CARF accreditation visits, coordinating the agency’s staff training program, and ensuring compliance with CARF accreditation, Medicaid guidelines, third-party contracts, HIPAA regulations, and internal policies.
In 2021, Beth advanced to the role of Chief Clinical Officer, merging her Quality Assurance duties with the leadership and management of all clinical activities. In addition to this role, she continues to provide licensure supervision to registered clinical social work interns at CGC. Although she no longer works directly with clients, Beth is dedicated to supporting the agency and its providers in delivering high-quality services to their clients.
