Our staff of trained professionals are here to help you and your child assess the situation and select the most appropriate treatment available. Child Guidance Center services include:
Community Action Team (CAT)
This team of therapists, case managers, mentors, a nurse and psychiatric staff provide wraparound services to high risk youth and their families. The goal of the program is to reduce out of home placement such as juvenile detention and residential treatment.
Full Service Schools
FSS is designed to remove non-academic barriers to student success. Short term counseling is provided at various schools around Jacksonville’s Southside. CARF accredited services including individual, family and group sessions are provided.
Child Guidance Center provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management of clients served in each program. Medical services are provided by an onsite psychiatric APRN and by child psychiatrists via tele-med at our outpatient locations.
Child Guidance Outpatient Services are available to children and families in Duval County and surrounding counties simply by making a telephone request for an intake or by completing a request for services form found on this website. CARF accredited Outpatient services include:

Rapid Response Team
Rapid Response Team consists of mental health professionals trained to intervene with children and adults during critical and emotionally taxing periods in which they present as a danger to themselves and/or others.
Specialized Family Services
Child Guidance Center provides community based treatment, specializing in infant mental health.
Targeted Case Management
Child Guidance Center provides CARF accredited case management services for children and adolescents who have more serious emotional problems. Our Case Managers work closely with our clients and families to assist them in obtaining access to needed medical, social, educational and other services in the community that will improve their lives and maintain the child in the least restrictive environment.
