Rapid Response Program

Providing Immediate Assistance in Times of Crisis

Mental health crises don’t adhere to a schedule. They can occur at any time, often when least expected, and require immediate attention. That’s why we developed the Rapid Response program—a mobile response unit designed to provide swift, effective intervention and support to individuals who may pose a risk to themselves or others.

How We Help

Our Rapid Response Team is comprised of mental health professionals who are specially trained to intervene during critical and emotionally challenging situations involving children and adults.

Upon receiving a call for help—through our direct emergency number (904-982-4911) or our partnership with 988, the national suicide & crisis hotline—our team will immediately dispatch to the location and provide counseling, crisis intervention, and other support services.

What We Provide

  1. Immediate Assistance: Our team is on standby around the clock to provide urgent mental health counseling.

  1. Professional Intervention: Our experienced therapists intervene promptly, employing proven strategies to manage and de-escalate the crisis.

  1. Follow-up Support: We don’t just respond and disconnect. We ensure continuity of care by providing follow-up support and connecting individuals and families with ongoing resources.

Our Impact

The Rapid Response program is more than just a crisis hotline—it’s a lifeline. By offering immediate mobile response, we’ve de-escalated critical situations, provided immediate relief to distressed individuals, and significantly reduced the need for hospitalizations or out-of-home placements.

In 2022 alone, our Rapid Response team successfully diverted more than 85% of their calls from hospitalizations or police involvement. This not only saved individuals and families from unnecessary trauma but also reduced the strain on emergency services and medical facilities, saving our community over $2.5 million annually.
