Stephanie Skinner

Stephanie Skinner, LMHC, Rapid Response Program Director

Stephanie began her journey with Child Guidance Center as a Full Service Schools Intern in 2012 and gained valuable experience working with children and families within their homes, schools, and in the community.  Stephanie believes that it is her calling to serve those who often feel overlooked or may not be able to receive the help they need if non-profit community mental health agencies such as Child Guidance Center were not available.  After completing her internship, she was hired as a Child & Family Therapist with the agency’s Outpatient program in 2013.  Stephanie was promoted to Licensed Clinical Supervisor in 2017 and has enjoyed leading an outpatient team of therapists and administrative staff.  In addition to her duties as supervisor, she provides oversight to the Immediate Access Clinic; a program that delivers ease of access to follow-up mental health services for youth who have recently been discharged from local crisis units. Stephanie serves as chairperson for the agency’s Clinical Records Committee, ensuring that documentation in client charts meets agency standards and all funder requirements.  She is also a qualified licensure supervisor and finds it very rewarding to train and mentor therapists.

Stephanie earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Flagler College.
