Back-to-School Supply Drive

This year, we have two back-to-school drives underway! Whichever one fits your schedule, your donation goes straight to Jacksonville students and families.

DSW Back-to-School Supply Drive

We’re excited to partner with DSW at St. John’s Town Center for a Back-to-School Supply Drive running now through July 31, 2026!

Here’s how it works: while you’re shopping at DSW, pick up an extra item for a local student in need or bring an item from home. Leave your donation with a DSW associate and enjoy $15 off your purchase. Every donation collected will be delivered to local students and families through Child Guidance Center.

Items needed: new shoes, athletic footwear, socks, backpacks, lunch bags, school supplies, and classroom essentials.

Thanks to DSW and everyone who participates, more Jacksonville students will start the school year prepared and confident.

Location: DSW, St. John’s Town Center
Drive ends: July 31, 2026

William G. Lockwood Memorial Fund Supply Drive

Every year, we sponsor the William G. Lockwood Memorial Fund Back-to-School Supply Drive, sending local students back to class with a bag full of the supplies they need.

\Many of the children who come to us for help don’t have the means to get school supplies on their own, and that gap often shows up as embarrassment, low self-esteem, and a lack of motivation at school. A full backpack helps change that, supporting better attendance, stronger academic performance, and a real boost in confidence.

Here’s how it works: donate supplies or make a financial contribution by July 20, 2026. In-kind donations are greatly appreciated, including items with business logos. Financial gifts are used to purchase supplies, which our team packs and distributes directly to the children and families we serve.

Items needed: backpacks, college-ruled paper, wide-ruled paper, spiral notebooks, and crayons.

What your donation covers:

  • $15 = school supplies for 3 elementary or middle school students
  • $25 = backpack with supplies for 2 high school students
  • $50 = backpacks with supplies for 4 elementary and 4 middle, or 7 high school students

This project depends entirely on the generosity of the community these children live in. Consider partnering with us this year!
